Description

We present new data on the photoneutron cross sections of 63, 65Cu and 175Lu studied using quasi-monochromatic and energy-tunable γ beams produced at the Shanghai Laser Electron Gamma Source to resolve the long-standing discrepancy between existing measurements and evaluations of these cross sections. Using an unfolding iteration method, (γ, n) data of 63, 65Cu and 175Lu are obtained with an uncertainty of ~ 5%, and the inconsistencies between the available experimental data are discussed. The γ-ray strength functions of 63Cu(γ, n), 65Cu(γ, n) and 175Cu(γ, n) are successfully extracted as experimental constraints. We further present the calculated cross sections of their radiative neutron capture reactions using the TALYS code and Bayesian network.
