Description

Image formation in scanning/transmission electron microscopy (S/TEM) is inherently complex, involving multiple coupled physical processes. Consequently, electron imaging simulation are widely used to interpret S/TEM images in terms of structure, composition and bonding, but they are typically computationally intensive. In this work, we present a prototype platform that performs electron imaging simulation within the multislice framework using optical computation to accelerate structure analysis.
