Description

We experimentally demonstrate the emergence of symmetry-forbidden third-order sideband harmonics in bilayer WSe₂, and further investigate the NIR-wavelength-dependent contrast of sideband harmonic intensity between even and odd layers. The isotropic orientation dependence and field-parallel polarization of sideband harmonics generation from bilayer WSe₂ further support the picture of strong-field-induced symmetry breaking.
