Airports

Shanghai has good flight connections to all major cities worldwide and is served by two major airports: Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA)

  • PVG:

Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) is located approximately 30 kilometers east of downtown Shanghai, in the Pudong New Area. As one of Asia's busiest airports, it features advanced facilities including multiple terminals, a wide range of shopping and dining options, lounges, and efficient transportation links to the city center. PVG predominantly handles international flights.

  • SHA:

Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) is situated closer to the city center, about 13 kilometers west. It offers comprehensive amenities such as retail and dining outlets, lounges, and efficient transit options to downtown Shanghai. SHA mainly serves domestic and regional flights but also accommodates some international traffic.

Directions

Please prepare cash Chinese Yuan (CNY) for subway tickets or taxi. Subway ticket machines need a Chinese ID. If you do not have one,  please buy it from the ticket window or ask for help from subway staff.

-By taxi: It takes about 40-45 minutes by taxi from the Airport to the Fraser Place Hotel and nearby. Taxi fare from the airport to hotels is around 180 CNY (approx. US $25)  from PVG and 120 CNY (approx. US $17) from SHA, depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. We suggest you wait for a taxi at the airport-designated taxi station. Please ask for a receipt or invoice before you leave the taxi. If the driver doesn't speak English, you can show him/her this message"请带我去杨浦区殷行路1258号的辉盛坊公寓酒店 (please bring me to Fraser Place Hotel)"

-By subway: The nearest subway station is Xinjiangwangcheng Station on Line 10, which is about a 5-minute walk to Fraser Place Hotel.
