The 11th Asian Triangle Heavy-Ion Conference (ATHIC 2026) will be hosted by Fudan University in Shanghai, China. The conference will take place at Chateau Star River Pudong, Shanghai, from Monday, November 2nd to Thursday, November 5th, 2026. This will be an exclusively in-person event, with no arrangements for remote participation or broadcasting. Please note that November 1st is reserved for registration and welcome reception.
ATHIC 2026 continues the tradition of previous conferences, which began in Seoul in 2006, with the most recent one held in Odisha in 2025. Many physicists from Asian countries have been actively engaged in both experimental and theoretical research on heavy-ion collisions. ATHIC provides a platform for these researchers to gather and discuss exciting developments in the field. We look forward to fostering fruitful discussions among participants and generating new ideas to advance our understanding of hot and dense QCD matter.
ATHIC 2026 will focus on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Initial state and thermalization
- Jets and medium response
- Heavy quarks and quarkonia
- Electromagnetic probes
- Collective dynamics
- Correlations and fluctuations
- QCD phase diagram and extreme conditions
- QGP in small systems
- Strong fields and vorticity
- Hadronic interactions and exotic states
- New theoretical developments
- Experimental techniques and future programs
The conference will feature plenary, parallel, and poster sessions. Students are especially encouraged to submit their contributions.
