Airports
Shanghai is well connected to major cities worldwide through two international airports:

  • Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG)
Located about 30 km east of downtown in Pudong New Area, PVG is one of Asia’s busiest airports and primarily serves international flights. It offers modern facilities, multiple terminals, a variety of shopping and dining options, lounges, and efficient transportation to the city center.
  • Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA)
Situated approximately 13 km west of the city center, SHA mainly operates domestic and regional flights, with some international services. It provides a full range of amenities including retail, dining, lounges, and convenient transit links to downtown Shanghai.

·       Directions
Please prepare cash (Chinese Yuan, CNY) for subway tickets or taxis. Please note that subway ticket machines may require a Chinese ID for verification. If you do not have one, you may purchase tickets at the ticket counter or seek assistance from subway staff.

·       By Taxi
A taxi from the airport to Shanghai Science Hall takes approximately 50–60 minutes from Pudong Airport (PVG) and 30–40 minutes from Hongqiao Airport (SHA), depending on traffic conditions.
The estimated fare is around 180 CNY (approx. 25 USD) from PVG and 80 CNY (approx. 11 USD) from SHA.
We recommend using the official taxi queue at the airport. Always ask the driver for a receipt before leaving the taxi.
If the driver does not speak English, you may show the following message:
请带我去黄浦区南昌路47号的上海科学会堂
(Please take me to Shanghai Science Hall, located at No. 47 Nanchang Road, Huangpu, Shanghai)

·       By Subway
The nearest subway station to the hotel is Huaihai Middle Road Station (Line 13), which is about a 4-minute walk from Shanghai Science Hall. Exit from Exit 1 and walk south along Ruijin Er Road, then turn right into Nanchang Road to arrive at Shanghai Science Hall.
