Description
We introduce MC-CGC, a new event generator built on the saturation description of particle production in pp and p(d)+A collisions. The framework incorporates radiation, realistic soft production, beam remnant treatment, and fragmentation, and is calibrated against data across multiple systems and different collision energies. Our main predictions focus on the transverse-momentum spectra and the nuclear modification factor in the forward-rapidity regions. We find that our results agree well with both experimental data and analytic calculations within the CGC hybrid framework. By providing a robust, saturation-based initial-state baseline, this generator helps to probe the existence of the CGC. This establishes a constraint on initial-stage effects, which is essential for disentangling initial-stage (CGC-driven) contributions from final-stage (hydrodynamic-driven) contributions in small collision systems.
