Description
Lee-Yang edge singularities (LYEs) are singularities that limit the analyticity of the thermodynamic potential in the complex chemical potential plane and provide important information on the phase structure. In this work, we extend the functional renormalization group approach for the PQM model to the complex chemical potential plane and investigate its analytic structure. We identify the chiral and Roberge-Weiss LYEs. The chiral LYEs move toward the real chemical potential axis as the temperature decreases, eventually reaching the real axis at the critical endpoint. The scaling behavior of LYEs is investigated, and one critical exponent is determined. We further analyze the LYE modes and their composition, particularly the mixing between the chiral and Polyakov-loop degrees of freedom. This study also provides useful insights into the convergence properties of thermodynamic observables and the calculation of the net-baryon number probability distribution.
