Description

Recent theoretical advances have shown that collective flow imparts a large asymmetry to both the momentum broadening distribution and the medium-induced radiation spectrum of jet partons. In this work, we present the first inclusion of the full flow-induced anisotropic radiation spectrum in a heavy ion jet Monte Carlo as a large scale overhaul of the open-source APE (Anisotropic Partonic Evolution) package. Our approach implements an efficient event-by-event calculation of the full radiation distribution in realistic, Bayesian-inference tuned hybrid transport media. Using this new tool, we study the effect of collective flow on jet substructure, focusing especially on novel vector correlations between jet substructure and the event geometry.
