Description

Heavy-ion collisions (HICs) is a unique tool for studying properties of hot and condensed nuclear matter. HICs at HIRFL-CSR energies can create nuclear matter with baryon density as high as 2 to 3 times of the saturation density. The CSR External-target Experiment (CEE) at HIRFL facility is a larger acceptance spectrometer to study QCD phase structure, Equation of State (EoS) and sub-threshold strangeness production at high baryon density region. In this presentation, the status of the CEE detector system and physics program will be discussed
