Description
Heavy-ion collisions provide a unique laboratory for studying hyperon-nucleon (Y-N) interactions and the possible existence of exotic bound states via two-particle momentum correlations. Using the Lednický-Lyuboshitz model, we extract source sizes and interaction parameters from the measured correlation functions, enabling constraints on the space-time structure of the particle source and the effects of final state interactions.
In this talk, we will present recent femtoscopy results from the STAR experiment using high-statistics Au+Au collisions and Isobar (Ru+Ru, Zr+Zr) collisions. For light nuclei pairs (, , and He), we report the first measurements of their correlations, shedding light on hypernuclei structure, binding energies, and many-body interactions relevant to neutron star interiors. For strange baryon pairs ( and ), we analyze the centrality dependence of source sizes and scattering parameters, with results indicating an attractive interaction and evidence for a bound state in the system.
