Description
Strange hadrons are sensitive probes of the properties of baryon-rich
nuclear matter created in heavy-ion collisions. At collision energies near their corresponding nucleon-nucleon production thresholds, their kinematic distributions and yield ratios may help constrain the equation ofstate (EoS) of high-baryon-density matter.
In this talk, we will present measurements of strange hadrons ($\Lambda$, $K_{S}^{0}$, $\Xi^{-}$ and $\phi$) transverse momentum spectra and pT-integrated yields in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}=3.2$, 3.5, 3.9 and 4.5 GeV from STAR Beam Energy Scan II program. The centrality dependence of the particle yields as a function of the average number of participating nucleons, together with yield ratios across collision energies, will be compared with thermal-statistical and hadronic-transport model calculations. These comparisons will provide insight into strangeness-production mechanisms and the properties of nuclear matter at high baryon density.
